Sources: Following negotiated agreements, Wolves midfielder Chem Campbell consents to join new team

Chem Campbell, a midfielder for Wolves, has decided to join Wycombe Wanderers after his loan at Charlton ends, according to sources who spoke with Football Insider.

The 21-year-old will now spend the second half of the 2023–24 season on loan at League One opponent Wycombe after spending the first half of the season at The Valley.

During his tenure at Charlton, Campbell made 16 appearances, tallying two goals and dishing out two assists.

Wycombe has emerged victorious in the competition for his services and is planning to bring him back to the team. It is thought that Wolves feels he would benefit from going out on a new loan.

On Monday, January 15, Charlton announced that Campbell’s loan had been canceled.

“He hasn’t played as much as was initially anticipated and, with new players already in the building this January and more to come, it was felt that his loan with us finishing was best for all parties,” Addicks technical director Andy Scott stated.

The star, who was born in Birmingham, will be coming back to Wycombe after loaning out to the Chairboys for the second part of the 2023–24 season.

In 17 appearances across all competitions during his first senior loan since leaving the Wolves youth, he scored three goals.

The former Wales youth international has a June 2025 contract with Molineux.

He has already made eight appearances for the Wolves main team, playing for three different managers.

Just one spot below Charlton in the League One standings is Wycombe.

The Buckinghamshire team’s next game is scheduled for January 20 against Port Vale.

Wolves are “dangerously close” to losing points, according to other news.
