Report: Pair of Former Bulldogs Earn First Team “All-Playoff” Honors From ESPN

The College Football Playoff will begin its tenth season this year, marking a decade-long run as the main championship format in college football. During that time, a handful of highly talented college football players and even legends made appearances in numerous playoff games.

With over 25 games to choose from, ESPN took the liberty of making an “All-Playoff” where the best players at each position during this era were listed. Here are the two Georgia Bulldogs that made the list.

BROCK BOWERS (2021-2023)

Georgia TE Brock Bowers joins UGA legends as 3-time All-American

According to ESPN, Bowers was one of the easiest decisions when constructing this list, as no other player during this era has even been nearly as dominant as the Napa, California native. Bowers appeared in a total of four playoff games during his time with the Bulldogs where he caught a touchdown pass in three of those four appearances. He also took home the highly coveted Mackey Award two years in a row.

NAKOBE DEAN (2019-2021)

NFL Draft Results: Eagles pick Nakobe Dean at No. 83 - Bleeding Green Nation

As the Butkus Award winner in 2021, Dean’s leadership and elite playmaking abilities were put on full display during both playoff game appearances as he totaled more than 10 tackles and eventually helped the Bulldogs end their 41-year title drought.
